Dr. Walsh graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology & Cell Science. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Science and a Doctorate of Optometry, graduating with honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry.
Dr. Walsh graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology & Cell Science. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Science and a Doctorate of Optometry, graduating with honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry.
He completed the Irwin B. Suchoff Residency in Vision Therapy & Rehabilitation from the SUNY State College of Optometry in Manhattan. Afterwards, he spent three years as a full-time faculty Instructor in the Pediatrics & Binocular Vision Department at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry teaching the next generation of optometrists. He continues to serve as an adjunct faculty Instructor. In order to provide the most thorough and innovative care, Dr. Walsh continually attends post-graduate education through the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD). In 2013, he earned his Fellowship through COVD, which means he is board certified in optometric vision therapy and vision development. Dr. Walsh is a published author. Originally from New York, Dr. Walsh moved to southwest Florida at the age of five. He is an alumnus of Bishop Verot Catholic High School in Fort Myers. In his spare time, he loves watching sports (especially the Gators!), working out, and spending time with family and friends. He currently lives in southwest Florida with his wife and fellow optometrist, Lauren. Dr. Walsh is currently licensed in Florida and North Carolina. He is a member of COVD, Optometric Extension Program Foundation (OEP), American Academy of Orthokeratology & Myopia Control (AAOMC), American Optometric Association (AOA), Florida Optometric Association (FOA), and Southwest Florida Optometric Association (SWFOA). He is also a member of the Southwest Florida Gator Club.
