We are Naples and Southwest Florida's Vision Therapy Practice
Enriching Lives Through Vision
Welcome to the Center for Vision and Learning, your resource for developmental optometry and optometric vision therapy in Naples and Southwest Florida. Unlike traditional optometrists, who may check only for 20/20 vision, our goal is to pinpoint dysfunctions in eye movement, eye focusing, eye teaming, and visual information processing that may be affecting a patient’s quality of life. We believe that our rehabilitative therapy programs can improve vision skills and help our patients enjoy greater visual acuity in school, work, sports, and everyday life.more about us
Adult Eye ExamsCurrent lifestyles demand more from our vision than ever before given our technological advancements. As a result, many adults stress their visual skills with excessive close work, such as reading and computer use. view more
Pediatric Eye ExamsThe American Optometric Association recommends that children receive a complete vision exam at the ages of six months, three years, and then yearly while the child is in school. It is particularly important that a child have a complete evaluation in the summer prior to entry into Kindergarten. The visual skills needed for academic success are learned and continue to develop from infancy. view more

Dr. Walsh is absolutely wonderful. He takes the time to go over different activities based on the child and needs of the child. My son has made tremendous improvements in not only vision activities but also in everyday adventures. My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Walsh.
Dr. Walsh has been absolutely wonderful and so patient with my son during his eye therapy sessions , my son tends to loose focus and Dr Walsh handles it very well . I would highly recommend him for vision therapy as well as for annual eye check ups .
Dr Walsh is an overall amazing man! Truly cares about his clients and his profession. Not only has my daughter improved greatly but I as a parent have learned many things and ways to help my daughter get this far. Some of our sessions can be tough at times because my daughter loses focus but Dr Walsh goes along with what he is doing and everything works out Thank you Dr Walsh for everything
Dr. Matthew Walsh changed my daughter’s life. He was patient, kind and encouraging. My daughter hated school. Vision therapy and Dr. Walsh changed her view of learning. She is now getting straight A’s and received the honor of student of the month. Vision therapy works!
Dr. Walsh is a dedicated, caring, patient and a professional Optometric Vision therapist. My daughter was in 2nd grade and was very confused with her left and right. She would get headaches and skipped lines when she read. Within six months, my daughter has been able to focus her eyes better. She no longer has headaches while reading and has improved with not skipping lines. She is now very confident with her right and left. Dr. Walsh even increased her balance and helped her to visualize information. It is amazing how quickly vision therapy can help, especially with Dr. Walsh’s guidance and dedication.

So thankful for Dr. Walsh! My son is 3 and Dr Walsh was so patient and loving with him. He made him feel completely comfortable during the very thorough exam. Harper has had glasses for about 2 weeks and we have already seen huge results! He is more patient, more engaged, and more interested in things he normally would not like doing- like coloring. I'm so glad we found Dr. Walsh and the Center for Vision and Learning! I am so grateful for how they are helping our son!
